Terms of Service

Last updated: May 30, 2026

1. Agreement

These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Studio Pi & Pi BV (KBO/VAT BE0439165619), with registered office at Kartuizerlaan 32, 9000 Gent, Belgium ("Daybriefer", "we", "us"), about your access to and use of the Daybriefer application at daybriefer.com.

2. Service overview & beta status

Daybriefer is an AI-assisted Gmail and Google Calendar briefing tool. Parts of the application may be in a closed beta state. The Service is provided as is and as available; we make no warranties about uptime or the accuracy of AI-generated summaries, prioritisation, or scheduling suggestions. Always verify before acting on a draft.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for the security of your account and for the Google account(s) you connect. You confirm you have the lawful right to connect the email and calendar accounts you integrate with Daybriefer, and that doing so does not breach any obligation of confidentiality you owe to a third party.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Process content that is unlawful or that you are not permitted to process (e.g. health information regulated under HIPAA — Daybriefer is not HIPAA-compliant and no BAA is offered).
  • Attempt to bypass security controls, scrape the Service, or interfere with other users.
  • Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without written permission.
  • Use the Service to send spam, harass others, or perform any action that violates Google's Terms of Service.

5. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Daybriefer's use of data received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Pricing & subscriptions

Daybriefer is currently free to use during closed beta. When paid plans launch, billing will be handled by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. You can cancel any time from Settings → Subscription.

Belgian VAT is applied at the rate in force at the time of invoicing. For B2B EU customers outside Belgium with a valid VAT number, the reverse-charge mechanism applies.

7. Intellectual property

Daybriefer, its source code, design, and trademarks are owned by Studio Pi & Pi BV. Your email content and calendar data remain entirely yours; we claim no licence to them beyond what is necessary to operate the Service for you.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Belgian law, Studio Pi & Pi BV is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages — including missed meetings, missed replies, or synchronisation errors. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law (e.g. fraud, gross negligence, or harm to consumers' statutory rights).

9. Termination

You can terminate your account at any time (see Privacy Policy §7). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that creates risk to the platform or other users; we will give you reasonable notice except where immediate action is required for security or legal reasons.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms; the latest version is always at this URL. For material changes we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Any dispute will be submitted exclusively to the courts of Ghent (Gent), Belgium, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your country of residence.
